Ho ■ said, what ia a matter of common knowledge to biologists, that tba body of a man is made up of MB* water, enough phosphorus to make a couple of boxes ot matches, iron 1 sufficient to make about two nails, lime enough to whitewash a chicken coop, and sulphur enough to kill the fleas on one dog, with a few other material* thrown In for good measure. All the component parts of his body If sold for their commercial value would bring about 90 cents aud the buyer at that pries would not get much of a bargain. Jt this man were literally "worth his weight iu gold," he would be worth about $45,001), and the sum put at interest at the rate of 5 per cent would bring in about $49 per week; therefore, the man's earning power would be fixed at that rate But tho same personality which makes one man "worth his weight in gold” will make another man's value many fold that sum. The personal- j 1 ity of men is what distinguishes one j from another, so that big business j today is not so much a battle of dol-1 ■ lars and cents on one side and more dollars and cents on the other as it is a battle of one personality against , another. That, is also why many men with an indescribable something about them march ahead of other I men of greater brain but lacking in I that very ineffable quality that has a real market value. ——-* — NOTICE A meeting of the stockholders of tho ITeble Light and Power Company will be held at the Peterson school house, Peterson.
