of the line-up. Because they were accustomed to the floor, the Berne boys excelled in the passing department hut were unable to score points after working the ball into their territory. While the Geneva team, which has gone through the entire season without a hall to play or practice in made every chance count and many times sank the ball from long and difficult angles. The game was fairly clean and only in a couple instances did the keen rivalry which exists between the two teams tell on the players. The home team rooters showed very poor sportsmanship at times in c ncouraging their men on in the lough tactics, but the referee did a very good job under the circumstances. Geneva led at halfway, 9 to 6. The game was played as a preliminary to the Berne A. C. and Fort Wayne Knit team game, which prov- < d to be a comedy, the local team winning by a 61 to 30 score. The visitors were crippled by the absence of three of their regular players.
