A large number of ladies attended the meeting of the Ladies’ Aid society of the Methodist church, on j Thursday afternoon. Several com I snittees made excellent reports and he total collection for the month of ! January amounted to $150.65. The society agreed to furnish bedding and . linens sufficient to supply one room ;in the Methodist hospital in Fort I Wayne for one year. It was also Manned to give an Easter supper on ! March 31st. On Friday evening. February 16th., the society will hold a reception for all the new members. * I Tiie Ladies Aid Society of the Salem Methodist Church met at the home of Mis. M. Davison, Wednesday afternoon for the purpose of knotting and piecing comforts. Mrs. Hahnert, presi'dent, presided and Mrs. Amy Merriman had the devotions. Miss Pauline j Carver gave a reading. There were twelve members and five visitors in attendance and the collection amounti<d to $3.90. Two new members were received, they being Mrs. Agnes Carver and Mrs. May Everett.
