the American League gathered in the two years investigation with private detectives. - Wil.son’s Birthday December 28 Anniversary To Be Observed Throughout Nation: 66 Years Old December 28 will be observed throughout the United States as Woodrow Wilson Day by friends of Mr. Wilson and contributors to the Woodrow Wilson Foundation. Mr. Wilson will be 66 years old that day. Public meetings, dinners and luncheons have been planned in every state in the Union by state and local committees of the Foundation. | Up until election this year the Foundation had raised about $700,000 towards its million dollar endowment. ! The day after election work was started to obtain the final $.’’,00,000. One 'hundred thousand dollars of that sum i has been contributed. The Foundation hopes to raise the balance this ' year. The Foundation will complete its | incorporation this year and the per- | manent board of trustees will take ; charge soon after the first of the year.
PUN EXHIBITS XT INSTITUTES Two Townships Arrange For Corn And Domestic Science Exhibits The management of the institutes at; Kirkland Township high school and' Monroe are planning corn and domestic science shows to be held in connection with the farmers’ Institutes which occur during the latter part of | January. It is understood that the exhibits In corn will consist of ten-ear and single-ear samples in both yellow and white corn. It Is likely that the domestic science exhibit! wili contain various culinary products. I G. IJ. Rice, chairman of the farmers’ institute at Monroe, states that, the fanners of the neighborhood will be asked to donate various farm pro-' duets as prizes and exhibitors at the r Kirkland institute will be awarded' prizes to be determined by committees under the leadership of Thon. Agent Portland, Dec. 22. —The county board of education in session for the second time during the past few weeks on the matter of appointing County Agent H. S. Ebbinghouse for the ensuing year, voted down the recommendation of Purdue university for the second time, 8 to 6 and Mr. Ebbinghouse will give up his office at the first of the year.
