The body will be returned to ; Decatur at 4 o'clock this afternoon and ; will bo taken to the home of Frank ' Butler, on Winchester street. Funeral' services will be held from the residence at 1 o’clock Thursday after- - noon. Mr. Mcßarnes was born in Decatur and has continually made his home in this city. He went to Fort Wayne 1 several weeks ago to visit his daugh-1 ter. and although in poor health, his condition was not regarded as serious until yesterday morning. He was employed at the Fonner Stock Farm north of this city. Mr. Mcßarnes is survived by one son. Charles, of Decatur; two sisters Mrs. Earl, of Ft. Wertzberger received a sad message this morning informing him of the death of his son-in-law, H. S. Walters, of Marion, former Decatur citizen. The message did not state the time cr death cr the cause, but it was stated at the Wertzberger residence that it was due to complications. Mr. Walters, fifty three years old. was the ticket agent at the Clover; Leaf station at Marion. He lived in this city for a number of years and several years ago, moved to Marion. His wife, who before her marriage was Miss Adelia Wertzberger, daughter of M. J. Wertzberger and four children. two sons, Glen and Roger and two daughters, Frances and Marjorie, survive. .Funeral arrangements have .not yet been made. New Wheels And Tires On City Fire Truck New rear and front wheels, made oy the Bimel Wheel company, of Portland, were placed on the city fire truck yesterday and several runs were made to test them out and us far as known they have proven entirely satisfactory. Instead of having the double rear wheels, one big wheel on 1 each side has been placed cn the chasis and 36x6 Miller Cord tires have been placed on the wheels. The Fire truck is over ten years old It is likely that the city will have to purchase a new truck and fire fighting apparatus in the near future. The council is however desirous of making the present truck serve its purpose until fore!ed to purchase new equipment as a safeguard in protecting the citizen’s I property in case of fire. The city of I Bluffton, after suffering from such a I disastrous fire a short time ago took action towards the purchase of new|er and more modern equipment. In order to keep a large portion of the town from burning, the Bluffton fire department had to. send to Ft. Wayne for fire fighting apparatus.
