Wayne, will be the guest of her mother, Mrs. Minnie Daniels for Thanksgiving and the week-end. Earl Webster, of Ft. Wayne, will also be a guest at the Daniels home tomorrow. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Peterson, and daughter, Lois, will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zollars, of Ft. Wayne for Thanksgiving. Mrs. Clyde Noble and Ruth Mayer : will go to Fort Wayne tonight to I hear Geraldine Farrar at the Palace i theater. Mrs. Hartman Deel and Miss Helen Wilhelm, of Fort Wayne, will spend Thanksgiving and the week end in this city with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Mumma and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gurard. The Queen Esther team of the Rebecca lodge of Fort Wayne will be the guests of the local chapter at which time a class of candidates will be Initiated. Decorations have been completed by the Delta Theta Tau Sorority Girls for their Home Harvester Dance tomorrow night at 8:15. Everything has been done up in Thanksgiving style with pumpkins, leaves, etc., for their invited guests. The Harmony Five Orchestra, of Ft. Wayne, will furnish the music for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hammond will leave for Elkhart tonight where they .will visit Mr. A. A. Whitwright, form rly of this city, who was seriously mjurod while he was working on the railroad. In opening a switch the twitch signal fell on him. Miss Rowena Shoaf, of Ft. Wayne, is the guest of Mrs. Fred Smith. Miss Shoaf will remain for Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Helm and son. GENEVA NEWS Mrs. Joe Roth, of west of Geneva, is •eported to be on the sick list at pres-I ent. The regular meeting night of the 10-1 al Rebecca lodge has been changed torn Wednesday night to Tuesday light. The Domestic Science class of the G. H. S. entertained at a Thanksgiving tinner Monday night, the guests being he girls’ mothers, the high school acuity and the members of the school board and their wives. The meal was lerved in the Domestic Science room which was very prettily decorated in ■ed and white, the class colors. Streamers of these colors went from he light above the table to each of he four corners of the table. A three -nurse dinner was delicious and well served by the girls. Some of the equipment just recently purchased was used at their affair. Dr. J. O. R. Campbell attended the meeting of the Northeastern Indiana Veterinary Association which was held at Fort Wayne the latter part of last week.
Miss Virginia. Pyle, who is a nurse in Fort Wayne* is spending her Thanksgiving vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Pyle. Mrs. Lodena White and daughter, Edna, who has been visiting friends and relatives in Bryant, and Geneva, returned to their home at Decatur Monday afternoon. Amon Zehr and N. A. Pusey were business callers in Decatur Monday. Chester Hall, who had his arm broken last Saturday is reported to be getting along fine. Mrs. Charley Pyle and daughter, Virginia, spent Tuesday in Berne as guests of Mrs. Arthur Zehr and family. John Scheer and family entertained the following at Sunday dinner: N. E. I Blosser wife and grand-daughter, Miss I Ruth Degler, Mr. and Mrs. C. Brown I and the latter’s sister, Miss Grace Harper. The heating plant is being installed in Hie Union Chapel church which is being built a short distance west of Geneva. Most of the local business houses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, although not all of them have agreed to do so. _—o Whisky Prices Soaring At Evansville, Indiana Evansville, Ind., Nov. 29.—Evansville bootleggers are said to be smil-' ing from ear to ear.
