A. Dugan for their regular meeting Wednesday afternoon. “Our Pilgrim Fathers and Mothers," was a very interesting paper given by Mrs. Dugan . telling mostly of our Pilgrim mothers ( Miss Rose Dunathon was a guest of i the club. Delicious refreshments, 1 were served by the hostess. The next ' meeting will be with Mrs. S. D. Beav- j ers, December 6th with Mrs. D. D. Heller, leader. 1 - Mrs. Glen Cowan entertained the “500” club at her home on Line street Wednesday evening. Five hundred was played and prizes were awarded to Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. Joe Lose and Mrs. Fred Ashbaucher. Delicious; refreshments were served. The next, meeting will be with Mrs. Charles J Lose. ♦ The Historical club was delightfully | entertained by Mrs. John Schug at | her home on Third street. Mrs. Ed j Christen had a very interesting paper. on "Makers of a Nation." This being such a broad subject, it was impos- j sible for her to go very much in detail. The great men were named and some points of interest discussed. Mrs.' Roy Runyon will be hostess to the club in two weeks and Mrs. Noble will, have the paper. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. E. L. Carroll entertained the St. Vincent de Paul society yesterday , afternoon with twenty-three members I present. The regular business of the ' society was taken up and then the | meeting was turned over to a social meeting. Refreshments were served. Assistant hostesses were Mrs. C. J. Carroll and Mrs. Will Bowers. ♦ So-Cha-Rea met last evening with; Mrs. Francis Schmidt. Five hundred | 1 was played and prizes were awarded , I to Marie Gass, Mrs. Clem Kortenber; and Helen Gass. Miss Rose Fullen-! kamp won guest prize. Guests be-, sides the club members were Rose | i Fullenkamp and Louise Brake. Deli- j clous refreshments were served by the hostess. The club will meet with Mrs. | Charles Starost on Sixth street in I two weeks. + The Phi Delta Kappa fraternity . will hold a banquet in the fraternity rooms on North Secoud street next Monday evening. A good meal is promised and all members of the fraternity are urged to be present. Following the banquet a business session wifi be held and it is important that a large per cent of the membership be present. ♦ The Bachelor Maids were delightfully entertained by Miss Kynt Voglewede at a dinner party at the Murray Hootel last evening. A delicious three chicken dinner was served to her guests. After the dinner the girls were in'.dted to the VogleI wede home on Fourth street where j they played “500", the prizes being i awarded to Mayme and Adelaide Deininger. The club wil be entertained ,by Mrs. Bernard Terweer in two : weeks. ♦ The members of the Helping»H?jid I Society are not to forget the snec'nl , meeting at 7 o’clock isl the S. S. Room ' tonight. Fol lowing the dinner, the evening was spent in playing games and music. Everyone present greatly enjoyed the evening.
