Mr. Christen was the only person from this county who attended the convention, the teachers having attended the convention of the Northeastern Indiana association held at Fort Wayne last week. Dr. H. L. Smith was elected president of the state association.

Thetus Hocker, who is attending the state university at Bloomington, is here for a visit with his parents, Mt. and Mrs. Charles Hocker. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer, of Wauseon, Ohio, motored here yesterday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. 11. Moltz.
