An excellent program of miscellaneous subjects has been prepared for the ensuing year which will open October 2nd at the home of Mrs. J. C. Sutton. The dances which have been held at the K. of P. home on Third street every two weeks have been a great success and greatly enjoyed by all the members who have attended them. They will hold the last one this evening for this spring. ♦ Tie Ladies of the Mooseheart Legion will entertain at a “get-together" meeting Thursday evening at 7:30 for the members of the Moose Ixtdge of this city. A fine program has been arranged for and the evening promises to be a very interesting one. Ixiter in the evening a luncheon will be served by the Ladies. All members of the Loyal Order of JJpose are in vited and urged to attend. ♦ Miss Mathilda Belling will entertain at dinner this evening at 6:30 in honor of Miss Glenys Mangold bride elect of May the 4th. Saturday afternoon at 3:30 the degree staffs of the Haymakers from Fort Wayne, Huntington and Bluffton will be in this city. Saturday evening the Fort Wayne degree team will initiate a class of twenty-seven tramps. A big field of hay will be cut and a delicious dinner will be served to the teams and candiates at 6:30. + All Red Men and Haymakers are requested to be present at the Red Mens Hall Wednesday evening to make arrangements for Saturday. ♦ Tonight at the I. O. O. F. Hall the Odd Fellows lodge of the city will celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the 'odge. The evening will start with a banquet at 6:30. There will be several speakers among them being Judge J. T. Merryman of this city. A delightful evenings entertainment is in store for those who attend. All members of the Od Fellows Lodge are cordially welcomed to this meeting. + The Delta Theta Tau sorority will give a miscelleanous shower in honor of Miss Glenys Mangold at the home of Mrs. William Bowers, next Monday night. ♦ Mrs. C. J. Vogelwede attended a home talent play in Fort Wayne last night, which was given by the nurses from the St. Joseph hospital. Hite left off the court docket, was filed in the circuit court yesterday afternoon by the sole levetee. The petition was submitted to the court and was sustained. WILL ENTERTAIN NEW METHODIST MINISTER On Wednesday evening the congregation of the Methodist church of this city will hold a reception for the minister, the Rev. U. S’. A. Bridge, and his family. The Rev. Bridge was assigned to tlie Decatur charge for the coming year by the Northern Indiana Methodist Conference which met in its annual session at Elkhart two weeks ago. The members of the loqal chhrcji are iookiug'forWard to a very beneficial year for their church. At 6 o’clock the men of the church i will serve a chicken dinner to the' ladies, including those of high school j age and older. After the dinner the' ladies will furnish a program of entertainment which promises to be a real treat. Everybody is especially ij urged to be present.
