The treasurer's office' will be open from 8 a. m. till 4 p. m. during the tax paying season. All taxes not paid by that time will become delinquent and a penalty of IO per cent will be added. Do not put off your taxes as they must be paid, and the law points out the duty of the treasurer. Those who have bought or sold property and wish a division of taxes should come in at once. The six o'cloeq dinner was soon ready, which was served buffet style, and consisted of many things tempting to the appetite, to which all agreed. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Bright and niece, Miss Gretchen Beery, Mr. and Mrs. Harv. Beery and family, Beaula, Helen Robert and Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Houck and family,, Virgine and Max,, Mr. and Mrs. Elis Skiles and son, Brisbane, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Beery and family, Janete, Virginia and William. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Beery and family, Esther and Leo and the Misses Jennie and Bertaline Zimmerman. Mr. Beery received gifts and congratulations in his own bashful yet grateful manor, giving each a hearty invitation to return again in the future. At the business meeting of the Rotarians, held last evening in the Rotary rooms in the Eecry building on West Madison street the election of a board of directors for the year took place. £ight«.nominations were made and a board of five directors was elected. The new directors are: C. E. 8011, H. F. Ehinger, O. L. Vance,, Henry Heller and M. F. Worthman. Dr. Fred Patterson, whose term as president of the club will expire the first of the month, will be the ex-offieo member of the board. It is thought that the new directors will take office at the first meeting,hi May, ,it being planned to change the Jiscial year of the club from July 1, |to the second week in April. FORDSON TRACTOR SALES INCREASE April Expected to be Record-Breaking Month. Although the Ford Motor Company Detroit, has been increasing the output of Fordsons daily since the first of the year, retail sales have maintained ever a greater advance. April requirements necessitate the building of four hundred Fordsons a day, and production is being further Increased as rapidly as possible. This Is the Ford Company's largest output sinee 1919. and it is expected that production will have broken all previous records before the end of the month The Increased buying of Fordsons Indicates that the farmer’s position is better and also is the farmer's endorsement of the Fordson price-cut which created considerable comment throughout the country. Besides the Fordsons being sold for farm use, many are being sold in the cities as power units for hauling, excavating. grading and other kinds of industrial work.
