Th© meeting of the Progressive class of the Presbyterian church which was so have been held this evening has been postponed until uext week. + Miss Celia Andrews will be hostess to the Tri Kappa sorority this evening at her home on West Madison street. ♦ The Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose will have a meeting Thursday evening at 7 o'clock. At this time a pot luck supper will be enjoyed and plans for the Easter dance, April 17, will be made. Twenty-five members of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity enjoyed a banquet last evening at the Bittner Case. Joe Brennen, president, serv ed as toastmaster and several of the members were called on for talks. A very interesting talk was given by C. C. Pumphrey who was a guest at the meeting. After the banquet the regular fraternity meeting was held in the club rooms, and it was decided to have a dinner before each meeting. Afterward an Easter dance ■was agreed upon and plans were made accordingly. ♦ The Yeoman held a "rousing" good meeting last evening. The question of the Home to be located soon was brought up aud the proposition of loating it here were backed heartily by every member. * The Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid will meet at the home of Mrs. Wilson Lee Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Election of will be held at this meeting and other business of importance will be transacted. All the ladies are invited and urged to be present. * The Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the M. E. ciiurOh will meet in the church parlors Thursday, Mar. 23rd. This is Founders’ Day and the I 53rd anniversary of the society. A program will be enjoyed from 4 to 7:30. with supper at 6:15. All members and their families are invited aud urged to attend. ♦ The Zion Lutheran Aid Society will meet at the school house at o'clock Friday afternoon. UNDERGOES AN OPERATION Walter Fuelling, .residing on North Second street, was taken to the Lutheran hospital this morning in the Gay, Zwiek & Meyers ambulam-e and underwent an operation for acute appendicitis* Idjj Fuelling first com l plained of feeling ill last evening and during the night his condition grew worse so rapidly that the physician early this morning advised an immediate operation.
