Throp. 1 Miss Grace Arnold is visiting in Portland at the home of Miss Blanch Ford for a few days. Mrs. Vaughn Murray and daughters. Mildred, Jane and Catherine, are spending the remainder of the week in the country with Mrs. Murray's parents. Mrs. George Flanders and daughter, spent Wednesday in Fort Wayne. Rev. R W. Fitch, pastor of the Christian church of Katon, Ohio, arrived Monday for a visit at the homes of Jesse and Jasper Gilbert; also other Mends and relatives. Mrs. ?itch and children came Saturday to te in attendance at the 56th wedding inniversary of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Gilbert. Rev. and Mrs. E. W. Fitch and children, left today for Montpelier, Ind.. to visit the former's parents and from there will return to their home at Eaton, Ohio.

Tickets are on sale at the Holthouse drug store now. James P. Haefling, of Fort Wayne, expert accountant, was looking after business here today and greeting many old friends. The Hosea Ray family moved to Ridgville, Indiana, today where they will reside at least for the present. Mr. Ray is in the trucking business and has been employed by the stone company there for several months, finally deciding to move to that place. The public schools of this city will ofcen three weeks from next Monday and it’s time to be thinking about it. A crowd from this city left this morning early for the Muncie fair. If the same weather exists there the day was no doubt somewhat of a disappointment. ~Ti. L. Conter attended the Marcus' show at the Palace theater, Fort Wayne, yesterday afternoon. Heller will motor to Fort Wayne this evening to attend the Marcus show. The Mumma family reunion will be held at Lakeside Park. Fort Wayne, one week from today.
