Alex Durbin, who was operated on 1 for appendicitis last week at the home of his brother. Joel Durbin, near Pleasant Mills, by Drs. Kruse Clark, is recovering nicely, and the nurse will be dismissed in a day or two. Mr. Durbin was in a seefous condition for a time.

Fred King, of this office, is detained at his home on Mercer avenue liecause of sickness. His fever yesterday reached 104, but this morning it had receded to 100. He was placed in jail and was arraigned before Mayo*- Yager this morning where he plead guilty and was fined $1 and costs, amounting to sll. Fuller could not pay the fine and was again taken to jail. » X. ARE FOUR TICKETS" On County Ballots to he , Used at November Election—The Socialist and FARMER LABOR PARTY File Petition to Have Candidate for Congressman 1 Placed on the Ballots Four tickets will be placed on the ' ballot for use in this county at the j November election. The republicans and democrats will have a full coun- . ty ticket, including the candidates for the legislature and congress. The farmer labor party has no representative for county offices, and neither has the socialist party, but each of , them have a candidate to represent the eighth congressional district. Harvey H. Harshman of Dunkirk, is ( the candidate of the farmer-labor party, and Russel C. Voorheese, of Anderson, wants to represent the j eighth Indiana as a socialist in the .national congress. • Both of these names have been ill ed with the county clerk in the proper manner in order that the socialist and the farmer labor tickets may be placed on the ballot. The printing of these ballots will be started at this j office as soon as the emblem for the farmer-labor party arrives. This work is under the supervision of the election commissioners, Clerk John •T. Kelly. Earl B. Adams and Fred V. Mills. The tickets will appear on the county ballot in the following order; Republican, democrat, socialist and farmer labor. Voters are asked to not forget the fact that the republican'ticket comes first this year, be-' cause of a law enacted by the Indiana legislature permititng the party that received the largest number of votes at the preceding election to have the right to place their ticket first.
