Mrs. Vaughan is an aunt of Mrs. Gilbert Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Kocher of Huntington arrived Saturday night and spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Stewart. Mr. John A. Mumma, Mr. and Mrs. I Bob Garard, John D. Aber and Mr. I and Mrs. Leo Wilhelm, of Ft. Wayne J motored to Elkhart Saturday morning where they visited over Sunday with the C. H. Kern family, Miss Edith Pedifer and the Sfteve Bartholomew family at their farm north of Elkhart. Plans for the celebration of Labor Day in this city are now being made. The first celebration of the holidaywas held last year and was a great su • cess, and it is hoped to make this year's even more enjoyable. A. A. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hocker, Mr. and .Mrs. Woertz and 1. W. Macy of Elkhart motored here Saturday evening and were guests at the E. B. Macy home. There will be a brilliant display of fire works at the fair qach evening next week, and a big program of special features. Owing to the fact that we have been unable to get larger sizes of print paper the Daily Democrat will be crowded for space this week. We hope to soon have a supply from the i mill if coaxing will secure it and to be able to take care of every want of the J public. In the meantime we ask your ' indulgence. Misses Constance and Helen Schnitz. are spending several weeks at Cold water, Ohio. The Misses Florence and Irene Holthouse have returned from Toledo, where they spent a week visiting ith their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Clem IL Uhl, and children. On account of the death of their father, George E. Kinzle, the two Kin zle brothers, Lloyd and George, did not pass their news routes Saturday evening, or do their collecting for the Daily Democrat. They will be back on the job tomorrow. Two other boys volunteered to pass their papers for them, and in case you were misse l, just notify this office and we will see that you get your paper.

The county commissioners were holding their regular monthly meeting today at the auditor's office.
