LOOKING FOR BOYS (United I’reis Service) Newcastle, Ind., March 24. (Special lo Daily Democrat) Posses are scouring tlie country today for two boys who escaped from jail by locking th* sheriff in their cells. Archibald Armstrong and Jehsc McCord each 9, were the youths. They were to have pleaded guilty in court to charges of robbing several stores in this city. When the sheriff unlocked the cell door to take them to the court room, they rushed past him, slamming the. I door and locking him inside. They ran through the side door of the jail nd disappeared, while Sheriff Yost summoned his wife to free him. QUARANTINE “LIFTED" Indianapolis, Ind., March 24. — The slate conservation commission has r ■ pealed the quarantine on white pine, placed in effect in 1917 by the state entomologist because of the white pine blister rust. It is announced that the disease is now under control. A regulation was adopted desk anting all state reservations controlled by. the Indiana conservation commis sion, as game reserves, where wild fowl and wild animals of all kinds will find sanctuary therein. The' Indian ’ forest reserve of 2.00 acres, the Turkey Run State park of 280 acres. M •- Cormick’s Creek Canyon park of 350 acres, ami the State game preserve with 500 acres are included in the new sanctuary order which prohibits the molestation of game or birds.on these reservations at any time.
