Elva Gertrude Shiffcrly Wise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Shifferly. was born January 25. 1390. in Adams county, Indiana, and departed this life February 25, 1920. at her home near Van Wert, Ohio, aged 30 years and 1 month. She was united in marriage to Wilson Wise June 2. 1917. She was convert.-d at the age of 15 years under the pastorate of Bev. Weisjahn. to which trust she remained faithful until death. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, father, mother, one sister and three brothers and u host of other relatives and friends. Our loss is her gain. She left bright evidence, saying the day before" she died that she was ready and willing to go if it was the Lord's will.
