Davis of southeast of the city was the scene of a pleasant surprise given by the members of the St. Paul Sunday school, who prosiuit.nl the family witli a beautiful silver gravy ladle. The evening was spent in a social way, with refreshments of pop corn balls and candy. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Harve Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Myers, Mr. and Mrs. William Lightfoot. Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Noll. Mr. and Mis. Ed Ellsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Azle Tinker. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Davis, Mr and Mrs. Clark Hawkins, Mrs, Sam Yost, Mrs. Catherine Gage. Oscur, Leia and Mary Yost. The services began with Decision day in the Sunday I school. Then was the regular evangelistic service and the invitation. At 3 o'clock was the mass meeting aid to this camo large delegations from the Presbyterian, Evangelical and United Brethren churches, bring ing their pastors with them. Rev Thomas preached a great sermon and the presence of the Holy Spirit was tilt by all present. In the evening .every seat in the church was taken ling before the time for the service It was a great service. The entire d ty was one that moved all who wen present. Rev. Thomas puts his whole heart and soul in his effort, both in leading the song service and in the preaching of the Word. He does not spare him self but is giving his whole life tc the service of the Master. There will be no services tonight. | Tuesday morning at 9:30 will be a ■half-hour of prayer meetings.
