NEW EDITOR ON JOB ■ x With this issue the editorship < f the Witness has passed from brother unto brother. E. H. Sprunger, the! retring editor of the Witness, leaves! today for Fort Wayne, where he will' take up his new work with the City Y. M. C. A. Mr. Sprunger will act in the capacity of membership secretary. and although the new Y. M. C. A. will not be completed until September he begins his duties today. Mr. Sprunger since his graduation from Oberlin college in 1916 has been j with the Witness and has edited the paper since June. 1916. Because of his experience in the newspaper and ad-' vertising field, he has been chosen for his new position. Mr. Sprunger will for the present have his offices at the Railroad Y. M. C. A. until September 15, when the new building will lie opened. As mem-' bership secretary his duties will, in addition to building up the member-1 ship, include the publicity department, and also the charge of the service 1
desk in the building. Mr. Sprunger intends to move his household goods to Fort Wayne in the near future. For the present. Mrs. Sprunger and son. Junior will visit at her home in West Middletown. O. Ciifton H. Sprunger will for the present assume the duties left vacant and wil take care of the editing of the Witness as well as the advertising.—Berne Witness.
