Entered at the postotttce in Deca-: tar, Indiana, as second-class matter, i Senator Root, greatest constitution-, a’, lawyer o£ the world, in abetter to Will Hays, chairman of the national republican committee, declares for tiie league of nations with certain' changes to which most people agree.. His attitude is in contrast with cer- j tain ether near senators and political tumblers. The difference, too, seems to be that Mr. Root thinks before he expresses his opinion. Adams county should plan to meet; her quota. for the Fifth Liberty Loan I before sundown on the first day. Their should be no nej of making any person buy bonds, you ought to want • to buy them. Os course if ycu are seeking some littla two by four excuse fur not doing ,so, ycu will find it. No one is perfect and without doubt mistakes have been, made but these facts do net permit us to repudiate our deb ;; or neglect bringing home th.- boys and finishing the job. When you hear a fellow say that i he is not going to buy bonds because some official in his or inion has been just put it down that he is playing politics in preference to J being loyal to his government. It's; the ehe., kin I of petifoggy. Senator Wat-on is making speeches against the League of Na-; tions, malting the only kind of speech he knows how to make, a Fourth of July, red-fire, rip and snort political harrangue, fairly tearing the tail feathers out of the old eagle, j The people smile and pass it over for j there is no argument to his fierce outbursts. He is against it evidently because the president is for it. The great majority of people are for a j league because they believe it to their j interests and it. is more than probable that Mr. Watson will be busy next! year explaining his attitude on this great international question. And talking about incompetency •: the record of the recent legislature; in Indiana ought to forever close the! 1 mouths of seme, of the men who aro | ; crying the loudest. Tht tax and road,, laws and a few others are rather j frc.h in our minds and as time passes j it will be clearer than now that, tho 1 men behind the gun in the 1919 as- ’ 1 sembly were not just what you would 1 . call over competent. As a Stomach or Dinner Pill —The; i dose is one pill taken immediately > before or after dinner. Sugar-coated . and non-nauseating they can be thus ‘ taken without inconvenience and by ’ their power of gently stimulating the ■ .'tomach. organs of digestion, liver and bowels, will tend to give relief from the effects of over-eating, indigestion and any tendency to the forl ■ mation of a costive habit of the body. I Doses, as a Laxative, in dyspepsia, liver complaints, chronic constipation 1 or costiveness, sick headache, etc., take one, or two tablets at bed time, or any number required to insure a healthy movement of the bowels once and not more than twice during the I next day. When taken every night or every other night, in many cases a single pill will be suftscient; others ' again will require more, while in a I few instances a half pill will be found ■ ample. When thus taken, patients I will soon learn by experience the size ' doses they need, bearing in mind that 1 a single, healthy, natural movement of the bowels daily is all that is required. This is the best time and ’ manner of taking them in these disI eases, as operating very gently next II day they carry off vitiated secretions. > As a Purgative—The average dose I for an adult, to produce moderate j purging in bilious attacks, disorder- • ed stomach, is from 2 to 3 tablets. ! For Children—They should be givI en in doses proportionate to age. say a child from 5 to 8 years, one-half tablet; from 9 to 15 years, one whole tablet. Constipation or Costiveness —They should be given in doses proportionate to age, say a child from 5 to 8, one-half tablet; from 9 to 12, one whole tablet. Constipation or Costiveness —This condition is really a parent of evil, giving rise, when habitual or chronic, j to an almost innumerable class of ills ! and affecting a numerous host of peo- • pie. To obtain relief: Take Laxcarj in at bedtime in laxative doses sufficient in size only to induce a single natural evacuation of the bowels next day. After a few days omit the tablets, but nevertheless on the following morning at the same hour on which the pills operated tne day before. make an effort to have an evacuation, whether there is any desire for it or not. If successful, never fail to go to stool at that hour every day or the constipated habit may return. If any evacuation ehould not follow the first or second morning after omitting the tablets return to their use for a few days and then omit them again as before, and so continue until regular evacuations are established. In most cases whether with adults or children, the doses will have to be varied in size and in the same intervening between the doses to suit the peculiarities and habits of different individuals and of differing circumstances. each learning by experience for themselves what is best adapted to their use. It is best to have a box of Laxcarin always on hand. It is the safest purgative, and no family medicine cheut is complete without it. Laxcarin is sole solely by The LAXCARIN PRODUCTS CO.
