Mr. and Mrs. George Cramer spent the day in Fort Wayne. Mrs. William Murtaugh, Jr., went to Fort Wayno yesterday afternoon for a short time. Mrs. W. M. C. Briggs went to Geneva on the 1:05 train to visit a few days with relatives. Mrs. Roger French returned to Lima O, after a week-end visit with her sister, Mrs. Charles Laanlin. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ruhl and children visited at Middletown yesterday afternoon and evening. Mrs. Harvey Everett went to Fort ayne yesterday afternoon for a several days - visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and oldest child hove recovered from a siege of illiiOnS. The two younger children are still ill and confined to their beds. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stoneburner and son. Thomas, returned yesterday afternoon to Kendallville They visited with their brother, I. B. Stoneburner and family. Mrs. Claude Caton who returned this morning to her home at LaGrange was accompanied to Fort Wayne by her sister, Miss Mary Steele. | The Scherer ambulance took Clem Hackman to the Decatur hospital; and Ed Knavel to the county infirmary hospital. IN HONOR OF TEDDY (United Press Service) New York, Jan. 14—(Special to Daily Democrat) —The Aero Club of America today announced that the aerial expedition to the North I’olo to be undertaken by Captain Bartlett will be known as the Roosevelt Memorial expedition. The club issued a statement on Roosevelt's long friendliness with aeronautics and the efforts he mode to advance the science, declaring the naming of the expedition comutensurate with his work. The club also suggested that "It is fitting that the first land, if any is discovered in this first use of aeroplanes for arctic exploration, ehall be named Roosevelt Land.” Mrs. Fred Schafer and Miss Leona Stalter spent the day in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Fred Heuer received a card this morning from Grace Garard, daughter of Al Garard, of Fort Wayne saying that her sister, Anna, was operated upon last Friday in the Van Wert hospital for appendicitis; but that she was getting along well and would probably be able to go home in two weeks. Miss Garard was graduated last spring from the Decatur high school, and while attending here after her parents moved to Fort Wayne, made her home with Mrs. Heuer. On graduating, she entered the nurses’ training school at the Van Wert hospital, her sister, Grace, also being in training there.

Dun Niblick is attending the Tristate Merchants’ Association in Fort Wayne today. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hoagland and babe returned from a several days’ visit with Mr. Hoagland's sister, Mrs, H. A. Snyder, in Fort Wayne. Today they went to the home of Mrs. Hoagland's parents, Mr. and -Mrs. Peter Fox in Hartford township, for a visit of a week.
