Rogers—Ministerial As- ‘ sociation’s Resolution READ LAST NIGHT j At Union Service Held at Christian Church —His Farewell Sermon. 1 There was a splendid service hld at the Christian church last evening. Tills was the third one of the union 1 services and many were turned away because the church was crowded. Tne meeting was very' inspirational and helpful. A very powerful sermon was preached by the Rev. Floyd G. Rogers.! of the Baptist church, who leaves this i week for a new charge at St. Lou : s. I Mo. His subject was “Possessing Otll'| Unpossessed Possessions" He point- ( ed out several of the possessions that are ours that we did not seem to possess. The sermon was filled with many good and timely illustrations, and many words of appreciation were heard on all sides of the sermon. Much interest is manifested in the union meetings this year, ami they seem to be creating a spirit of unity among the churches that is very help • fill to their life in the city. There : will be another union service next • Sunday evening. This one will be '■held at the Evangelical church, and 'the Rev. J. ('. Hanna, will prcacl. the ' sermon. There was a splendid young people's meeting held just before' the preaching service, with Miss Esther i Enos, leader. There wilt be another young peoples’ meetinc held next I Sunday evening at the Evangelical ' church.
