Herbert Dauer. wno has been employed in Fort Wayne is home for a short visit with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heckman and son ami daughter, of North Preble, were here yesterday afternoon to register as voters. Mrs. Catherine Wilmington arrived here this afternoon from Decatur to visit Mr. and Mrs. Mort McAfee.— Bluffton Banner. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller returned home last evening from Angola after a two week's vacation at Lake James. Ralph reports that the fishing is tine. Mr. and Mrs. E. (’. Annen came ly automobile from Columbus, 0.. for a visit with their brother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Annen and other relatives. The Misses Marie Fisher and Mollie Shay, of Huntington. motiicd here yesterday for a several days visit in this city with Mr. John Fisher and family. Mrs. Mary Roop, of Willshire, O , passed through the city today on her way to Montgomery, Mich., where she was called by the illness of her sister. She was accompanied to Fort Wayne by her daughter, Mrs. Cora Schumm. Cyrus Alaric Hay. of Ossian It. It No. 4 has been appointed a second lieutenant in the United States aimy and has been assigned to the For' • fifth infantry, according to a Wish ington dispatch. GAS COMPANY IN DEMONSTRATION Automatic Gas Heater Demonstrated by A. Alexander, Factory Engineer. Today, Friday and Saturday the gas company Ik having an interesting demonstration of the Humphrey Gas Automatic heaters at the office. The manager of the gas company is being assisted during the demonstration by Arthur Alexander, representative from the Humphrey factory at Kalamazoo. The company has gone to a great deal of expense and arranged for a three days’ demonstration of the automatic gas heater at the gas office. The gas company has succeeded in having Arthur Alexander, a special engineer from the factory of the manufacturers of the Humphrey au tomatie gas waler heater, to spend Thursday. Friday and Saturday with them, this week only. Mr. Alexander understands the heater thoroughly and has the knowledge to give valuable advice on hot water systems. During these days he will be very glad to demonstrate in operation this really wonderful heater and answer any questions pertaining to hot water service.
