He ST suffered a heart attack shortly after leaving here and has not recovered. E The chiropractors held an interesting meeting at F'ort Wayne Tuesday night which was attended by Messrs. Burgener and Henricks of this city. A district meeting was also held as Marion last Sunday at which several very important matters including a publcity campaign were discussed.

Mrs. Jeff Moser of Willshire, Ohio, changed cars here today on her way to Portland for a visit with her brother, William Wishon. Miss Celia Andrews went to Fort Wayne yesterday afternoon. She was , the guest of her sister, Mrsi Leo al- - lerd, of 709 N. Firth street. B. C. Henricks, the chiropractor, went to Van Wert, today to call upon a daughter, Mrs. Ix>yd Mercer, who is quite ill at the Van Wert hospital. Mrs, Joe Smith and children, Gerald. left for Fort Wayne today noon, where they wil visit over the weekend with her sister. Mrs. Herbert Lankenau. The Ben Davor family will leave this week -for their home at Greenville. 0., Mr. Devor is working there tor a lumber company. They resided at Greenville prior to moving here several years ago.

(United Press Service) Indianapolis, Ind., Dec. 7—(Special to Daily Democrat) —Opposition which developed at the conference of various committees representing various state organizations today prevented the immediate approval of the plan to change the governing systems of the rural schools of the state. The conference continued throughout the day and may last over tomorrow in an effort of the representatives to obtain a plan to present to the next legislature for the centralization of the control of the rural schools. Some of the township trustees objected on the grounds that it would remove the control of schools from the communi ties which are directly affected. A RECORD HOLD-UP. (United Press Service) Findlay.
