Countv Orders cannot be paid to any person owing delinquent taxes. All persons are warned against purchasing such orders. State of Indiana, County of Adams, ss: Before the Board of Commissioner: of the County of Adams, February Term, 1916: f We, tlie undersigned, each and all of whom are resident adult freeholders and voters of .Washington township and Root township, in Adams county, Indiana, respectfully petition your honorable body and ask tiiat you construct and complete a free macadamized stone improvement over and upon the public streets and highways on the following- route, to-wit: Commencing at the southwest corner of lot 73, in the original plat of the town (now city) of Decatur, in Washing-ton township, Adams county, j Indiana; thence north upon Third I street across Jefferson street to the southiwst corner of lot 249 in the First Addition to the town (now city) of Decatur, Indiana; thence north . upon Third street across Jackson street in said city to Washington street at the northern boundary of said city; thence north following- the public highway through the center of the north half of section thirty-four (34) and the south half of section twenty-seven (27) in township twentyeight (28) north, range fourteen (II) J east, and terminating at a point about ( forty (40) rods south of tlie renter of said section twenty-seven (27) aforesaid at the Intersection of the Old Piqua road. Also, that the approach from the east on Jefferson street onto the proposed improvement be graded, drained an I improved to the east for a distance of about 200 feet. Your petitioners further aver and say that the streets and highways herein sought to bo improved are public streets within the corporate limits . of the City of Decatur, and the public . highways sought to be improved is a public highway extending from Root township to the corporate limits of < the said < ity. Your petitioners further aver and say that more than twenty (20) of- - petitioners herein are from each of the townships to be affected and through which the proposed improvement extends. Your petitioners ask that said streets and highwax above described be drained and gradqd and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon such broke n stone there be placed stone screen in-vs. Your petitioners further ask that said streets l be Improved to a width of 35 feet, that said highway bo grad’ed to a width of 30 feet and that b-okon stone be placed upon said street to the ■ full width there of, and to a depth of j 10 inches at the sides ami 12 inches in the renter thereof, and that said public highway be improved by placing stone thereon to a depth of 3 inches at t|ie sides thereof and to a depth of 5 inches in the center thereof. That the name of the proposed improvement be “The John B. Holthouse Macadam Road." That to pay for said improvement we ask that bonds be issued by the county of Adams in the state of Indiana, payable in twenty semi-annual installments or series and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable property of said townships, in a sufficient amount to pay the interest ami principal of said bonds as they become due.
