Eve-y man. woman and child in Decatur who now has this disease, got it from somebody else who had it. There are many ways in which this diseas,e can be carried. A kiss from a consumptive may firmly implant the •uliereulosis germ is the system cf the recipient. Contact of the lips ci a cup just used by a consumptive is dangerous. A fly may carry tuberculosis germs from a consumptive’s spit to the coffee, the potatoes or other articles of food you may be about to convey to the mouth. A number of the germs may lodge in your nasal passages or in 'your mouth from a sneeze or cough from a consumptive who does not cover his face with a napkin or handkerchief. And here Is one thing you must not forget. The germs are very probably in your system NOW. One of the peculiar qualities of the tubercle bacilli is its propensity to lie dormant in the human body until the vitality or the resisting power of that body is lowered through overwork, through a weakening sickness, such a styphoid fever, through a lack of, sufficient nourishment or any other force which saps the strength of the individual.
