MAGLEY NEWS I- . ... Items from the Magley Correspondent — Farewell ~ Party for the Annens. WILL LIVE HERE Wind Storm Does Considerable Damage in Vicinity of Magley. Mrtgley, Ind.. May 20 —(Special to Dally Democrat)—A surprise and farewell party was given last Tues- ■ day evening at the C. Annen borne ui ' Magley in honor of Mr. (’. Annen and Aldine Annen. The evening was a very enjoyable one. Those present were Messrs, 'nd Mesdames Daniel Scherry and family, Edward Scherry and family, Otto Hildebrand and family, William Hendricks and family, Samuel Jaberg and family, Charles Dettfnger and family, Lewis Kreutzmatin and family. Fred Kolter and family, Mrs. Ann Grower. Mrs. Henry Hildebrand, Mrs. Kent Paris, Mis F. Conrad. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bauer and Mrs. Christ Scherry. A delicious luncheon of ice cream and cake w.is served. Mr. Annen and daughter, Aldine. will make their future home in Decatur. Mrs. Rev. C. H. Schneider of Elkhart Lake, Wis„ is visiting in and around Magley witli her former friends. Mrs. Schneider will visit in Galion. Ohio, Wednesday after which she will return to her former home. Dr. J. C. Grandstaff is very busy luring the last few days. Among his patients are Mrs. Ernest Bloemker, Mrs. Samuel Jaberg and Mrs. Charles Scherry. All are getting along nicely. Miss Ella Jaberg and Miss Freda Kolter went to Berne on business Thursday. Miss Aldine Annen was presented with a beautiful cut-glass dish from her Sunday school class. Fred Kolter is doing a great business in his store here. Mr. Alfred Jaberg. Misses Ella Jaberg, Hattie Bauer and Amanda Fruchte act as assistant clerks during the show week.
