WELL KNOWN MAN DEAD. The funeral of Jacob Bogner of Cherry street, a well known resident of Fremont for a number of years, was held Monday morning at St. Joseph’s church and was attended by a large number of relatives and rlends. Mr. Bogner had been in 111 health for several months and in a critical condition four weeks previous to his death on Friday night last. For three days he was unconscious, but a short time before he passed away he regained consciousness and hade farewell to the members of his family. A few hours later he was dead. Following the services at the church the remains were interred in St. Joseph’s cemetery. The deceased was a native of Seneca county and was born May 11, 1851, and would have been 6' years of age his next birthday. He spent his early days in Seneca county and later was united in marriage to Miss Louise Smith, also of that ! county. To this union nine children were born, five of whom are livin' Later the family moved to Decatur Ind., where they resided some 20 years. Mrs. Bogner died in ,1887 and later Mr. Bogner was marriec to Mrs. Magdalena Foos. Tlire children were born to this union one of whom survives. Nearly al his life, Mr. Bogner followed farm ing. but returning to Fremont nin< vears ago he took employment it the carbon works, which he contin tied until ill health prevented. He was a member of St. Joseph’! church and St. Joseph’s society. Besides a wife he is survived by six children, four daughters, Mrs Otto Bloom, of Napoleon: Mr; Chas. Oinlor. of Decatur. Ind.; Mrs Herman Upheil. of Huntington Ind., and Mrs. James Mathias, o Fremont; two sons, Roman an, John Bogner, both of Hammond Ind.; two sisters. Mrs. Jacob Grew lich, of Bellevue, and Mrs. Georg* Keller, of Decatur. Ind., and sou brothers, John and Frank Bogner of Decatur: Michael Bogner, of For Wayne, Ind., and Benjamin Bogner of Oklahoma.
