PETITION FOR MACADAM ROAD. State of Indiana, County of Adams,.ss; Before the Board of Commissioners Adams Cpunty, November Term. 1914. We, the undersigned, each and all of whom are residents, adult freeholders and voters of Washington and Kirkland Townships in Adams County, Indiana petition your Honor able Body that you construct and complete a free macadam stone road in said townships, over and upon a public highway situated on the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the northeast earner of section one (1) in township twenty-seven (27) north, range thirteen (13) east, in Adams County, Indiana, running thence south upon the public highway dividing section one (1) in said township twenty-seven (27) north, range thirteen (13) east, and section six (6) in township-twenty-seven (27) north, range fourteen (14) east, and terminating at the corner of said section one (1) and the southwest corner of said section six (6) and between said townships as aforesaid. Said petitioners say that the improvement prayed for is less than three (3) miles in length and connects at both ends with a free macadam road in said townships. Your petitioners further aver and say that the highway herein sought to be improved is a public highway already established and in use and is one of the public highways between said tow'nships of Washington and Kirkland. Your petitioners ask your honorable body that said highway above described be drained and graded and that broken sjme be placed upon the grade and upon such broken stone there be placed stone screenings, and that this improvement be made exclusive of crushed stone screenings. Your petitioners further ask thut said highway above described be improved to the width of forty (40) feet, and said highway above described be graded to the width of twenty-four (24) feet, and that broken stone be placed thereon to the width of ten (10) feet and to a depth of ten (10) inches in the center and six (6) inches at the sides thereof and that crushed stone screenings be placed thereon to a depth of four (4) inches unon such

We, the undersigned, each and all of whom are residents, adult freeholders and voters of Wabash Township. in Adams County, Indiana petition your Honorable Body that you construct and complete a free macadam stone road in said township, over and upon a public highway situated on the following route, to-wit: Commencing on the Township line at the southwest corner of section six (6) in township twenty-five (25) north, range fourteen (14) east, in Adams County, Indiana, thenee east between sections fiive (5) and six (6) on the north and seven (7) and eight (8) on the south for a distance of about one and one-half 11%) miles to the Joel Hirschy macadam road and there to terminate, all of said route being in Wabash Township, Adams County, Indiana. Your petitioners aver and say that the improvement prayed for is less than three miles in length, connects at one end with a free macadam road in said township, and the other end with the township line, and that a United States Mail Route passes over said highway herein sought to be improved.
