Entered at the postoffice In Decatur, Indiana, as second class matter. ClarkJ. Lutz has tendered his res ignation to the board of commission ers and with this month will quit his place as county attorney, after care fully and faithfully looking after that Important duty for fifteen years. In that fifteen years he has made for himself a record of which he should indeed feel proud. We doubt if in any county in Indiana will be found rec ords so complete and so perfect as are those of the Adams county commis sioners during the years that Mr Lutz has served as attorney. It it because he has kept constantly t watchful eye on the business, guard ing each proposition from a legal standpoint, and using his ability tc see that each act was performed adirected by law. In many counties the attorney acts only as an advisei of the board, but here Mr. Lutz hat established a precedent by attending every meeting of the board and mak ing up the record. He has done hit work well and is known by all whc have had businkss: with that part o. the county’s government and he hat earned many times over the apprecia tion of the people of Adams county whom he has thus served. Robinson Crusoe found money worthless on a lonely isle. He found it acquired value only by exchang* with other men. Any man s money it the same, it has value only becaust other men accept it as value, and give value for It in return. Where you ar< the more likely to receive proper val ue in exchange for your moneywhether from neighbors or strangers whether at home or abroad—is foi you to determine. Who is the more likely to deceive you—the stranger oi the neighbor— is for you to decide.
