RAN INTO DITCH Party of Four Had Many Experiences on Joy Ride | from Preble. ENDED IN FIGHT, — With Result That Several of Party Are Carrying Bad Cuts and Bruises. What was intended for a joy ride j last evening ended up in a free-for-all j fight just west of the city, after the automobile they were In bad been run jin the ditch several times. A party of ] four men from this city decided to ; run out to Preble for a little enteri tainment and also for some liquid rej freshments. However, they over esj tinmted their tankage and when they I were ready to start home, they were lln a bad condition. The driver of the ] ear was under the impression that lie j was driving on a very crooked road, and which, as he soon found out to ! his sorrow, was an exceptionally J j straight one. Three times did the; [ ear under the direction of the erring ! I driver leave the road and endeavor to j tlinib a fence. Finally after the third | attempt, one the other members oft the party decided that he could do ; better driving and Insisted that lie he; given a chance. This did not exactly ! suit the driver and there ensued a i : free-for-all fight in which the driver came out considerably worsted. The 1 party arrived in the city without furi ther accidents.
