FIGHTING WHITE PLAGUE. All Indiana Being Aroused in Warfare Against Tuberculosis. Diligent work toward wiping out tuberculosis in Indiana is being done iliroughout the state this year, the effort growing in magnitude and activity as the Christmas season comes on, when much of tlie money needed in the continuous campaign is rounded up through the sale of Red Cross Christmas seals. There are nearly seventy societies for the study and prevention of tuberculosis in this state, all of tliem active in promoting the warfare against the white plague, and all of them will be very busy in pushing the sale of Christmas seals this season. At the head of all these < rganlzations is the state secretary, with headquarters at 203 Public Sav- ■ ings building, indianaptl’.ls, which has I general direction of the white plague I crusade and the sale of Christmas seals. All of the state organizations are banded in a national association witli headquarters at New York. Allied with the county and local an-ti-tubercular societies in the sale of Christmas seals is the Indiana Federation of clubs, which lias named spec ial committees to help organise tiie selling forces throughout the state, and the Indiana Nurses' association is helping through a special committee to the same end. County superintend ents of schools, Sunday school organlat ions ,and many other kinds of pule lie-spirited associations and societies are joining in the effort to raise a ' great white plague fund through the sale of the bright little seals. Much educational work against the white plague and for the sale of the seals has been done this year all over the state. Health authorities and other speakers have been discussing the prevention of tuberculosis at county fairs, chnutauquas and other meetings. In a number of counties hospitals for the treatment of tuliercular victims have been erected, and others are under way. A more vigorous campaign for the sale of the seals will be waged thia season than ever and an active effort is being made to get them within th' easy reach ot the public in cities towns and on the farms. The head quarters now has its first supply of 4, 000,000 seals and begun the distribu tion to county and local selling agen cies. while a second order has been placed for 4.000,000, to lie held until I 'urther demand developes in Decern | ber. The sales will open everywhere I about November 28th and will con ; tinuc until January Ist. The Holthouse Drug Co. o LADIES! DARKEN YOUR GRAY HAIR. Use Grandma's Sage Tea and Sulphur Recipe and Nobody Will Know. The use of Sage and sulphur for restoring faded, gray hair to its natural color dates back to grandmother's time. She used it to keep her hair beautifully dark, glossy and abundant. Whenever her hair fell out or took onthat dull, faded or streaked appearance .this simple mixture was applied with wonderful effect. But brewing at home is mussy and out-of-date. Nowadays, by asking at any drug store for a 50 cent bottle of ''Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy,” you will get this famous old recipe which can be depended upon to restore natural color and beauty to the hair and is splendid for dandruff, dry, feverish, itchy scalp and falling hair. A well-known down town druggist says it darkens the hair so evenly and naturally that nobody can tell it has been applied. You simply dampen a ' sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one strand at a time. By morning the gray hair disappears, and after anotli er application or two, it becomes beau tifully dark, glossy, soft and abundant ! o BALD AT 35 Cleanse the Scalp; Nourish the Hair and Never Grow Bald.
