ATTENDANCE \t Both Places—Regular Routine of Institute Work Carried Out. The school house iu Dist. No. it, iu Washington township, with Ray Smith as teacher, as well as the one in Hartford township, Dist. No. 2, with E. E. Roberts as principal, were the scenes of two large township institutes Saturday. Tlie Hartford township institute at Dist. No. 2. which Is Linn Grove, wr. a very encouraging oue. Every teacher in the township was pretent, together with County Superintendent of Schools L. E. Opllger. und the townhip Trustee, olm W. Cowan. The egular routine of institute work was carried out. At the school Dist. No. 9, iu Washington township, u fiuc pry-ram was also carried out. Ray Smith is the teacher at this school, and is one of tiie good ones iu the county. Dinner was served by the patrons and Mr. Smith, and an excellent time had. A vote was taken at the meeting to hold all future institutes of Washington township teachers iu tlie country aud at the M'liool houses, uud it carried. Heretofore all institutes in thi. I township were held in Decatur.
