Miss Clara Bultemeier of St. John's one of the well known Adams county young ladies, Slaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bultemeief, will be united in marriage next Sunday to Mr. George Sachs a young ranchman of near Rhea, Texas. The wedding will be at 2:30 sun time, Sunday afternoon, June 29, at the St. John's Lutheran church, the ceremony to be read by the Rev. H C. Jaus. The wedding will be a very pretty one the bride’s brother, Charles Bultemeier, and her cousin, Miss Louise Bultemeier, being the attendants. The members of the immediate families will be guests at the supper at the bride's parents' home in the evening. The couple will reside m Texas. Miss Bultemeiem is a cousin of Miss Clara Bultemeier of this city and is well and favorably known. The groom has visited here on several occasions and is known to many.

It has ■been claimed by many that the film is the most wonderful ever made and the thrilling rides and escapes and the strategy used by Nettie in protecting the patent of her lover, Fred Watkins, who has been injured by the bursting of a steam pipe will make you thrill a good many nickels' worth. In one ride through a forest the girl's hair becomes fastened in the limbs of a tree and she is jerked from her horse. She goes from one thriller to another, but wins, and the story has a happy ending. If the weather permits the show will be given at the airdome, if not, at the theater. The price is five cents.

David Mettler of Berne, aged sev-enty-four, a native of Switzerland, who has resided in this country since 1866, wants to become a full-fledged American citizen, and today filed with the clerk his application for the second naturalization papers. The same will come up for a hearing the first Wednesday in the February term of court. FIREMEN COMMITTEES.
