WAS EASY VICTORY Shamrocks Send Marion Colored Giants Home With Small End of Score. FT. WAYNE WHITE SOX Will Pay a “Rub” Game Next Sunday—Each Team Won Game Last Year. It certainly did appear as if the local Shamrocks had met their Waterloo Sunday afternoon when the big colored Giants of Marion made their appearance on the diamond; but, oh, my! how looks do ilecelvesome times. The Shamrocks tackled the proposition like old-time leaguers and gave theysouldbe Giants an unmerciful drubbing, sending them home with the small end of a 19 to 10 score. A large crowd of fans were present and every one was delighted with the fine playing put up by the local boys. Coffee made the sensational play in the game by knocking a home run. On account of the inability of Jake Hillinger to be present, John Stoneburner was pressed into service as umpire. Next Sunday the locals will meet the Fort Wayne White Sox in a sensaUonal game of ball. Each of the teams won a game from each other last season and the game Sunday will be the “rubber.”
