Johnny Jenkins, who has driven race cars all over the United States and Eun>[>e, has made formal entry of a Schacht car in the third annual 500mlle international Sweepstakes Race, which will be staked at the Indlamipoy Us Motor Speedway, May 30. Jenkins will drive the car hftnseif and is now testing it out at-the Indianapolis track. This car, which was piloted in the race on May 30 last, year by "BlU" Endl?ott and his brother Hurry, has been completely rebuilt under Jenkins’ supervision, and the veteran driver expects it to show far better speed than It did at that time. As it was, Harry Endicott, who will participate in this year’s race as the pilot of a Nyberg car, was given credit for winning fifth place with tlie Schacht, Johnny Jenkins began his race career in Europe many years ago when he associated himself with Venus, a noted Italian driver. He holds many records on both skies of the Atlantic, and has established himself as a favorite In every race in which he has taken part. Excellent Train Service Provided and Arrangements Completed for Entertainment of Visitors. The biggest day of the year In Indianapolis is the day upon which the great 500 mile automobile race is staged at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Following the usual custom. the next race, which is the third annual event of the kind to be held tn Indianapolis, is scheduled for May 30, and elaborate preparations are being made to entertain hundreds of thousands of visitors from every part of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Cuba and various European countries. Bringing to bear that system which has proved of such worth in years past, the management of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has overlooked nothing which will help to give race visitors a pleasant and comfortable day’s outing. Although the big race will not begin until 10 o’clock on the morning of May 30, the gates to the Speedway Grounds will be opened at 8 o’clock and all the guards and other attaches of the big race course will be on duty ready to take care of the crowds. Arrangements have been made with the Big Four railroad and the traction lines for special trains which will transport the visitors from the city to the Speedway. The Big /our trains will leave the Indianapolis Union Station and will run on a ten-minute schedule. The railroad company, after a careful estimate, has announced that it will be able to give first-class accommodations to 15,000 people an hour. The traction care will leave the Indianapolis Terminal Stations and will run at frequent intervale

Albert Guyot, who will drive the English Sunbeam in the third annual WO-mile International Sweepstakes Race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, May 30, is one of the old school of French drivers. In 1908 be won the light car class of the French Granp Prix, and the following year finished fourth in the three litre race at Boulogne. He has won hundreds of medals and trophies and la noted for hla eool headed, scientific driving, as well ns for his daring. He is distinguished among French racing drivers, for be is also an aeroplane pilot, bolding 'the license of the Aero dub of France. But not content with these honors, be has also figured prominently in the motor boat races at Monaco. Guyot is now In England testing hie Sunbeam car at the Brookiands track.
