I Frank Geary of Fort Wayne is home, for a few days’ visit with his father ■ and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Will Geary. Misses Nona and Bernardetta Forbing will leave this afternoon for Fort Recovery, Ohio, where they will spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hess- ' ner. Mrs. H. Wefel and daughers, Alta and Justine, who visited at Preble with her parents, returned yesterday afternoon to Fort Wayne. They were accompanied by her sister, Miss Stalla Klopfenstein.

H. S. Michaud made a business trip to Fort Wayne this morning. Joe Colchin of Elkhart arrived today i to spend Easter with his mother, Mrs. Julia Colchin. Will Geary of Sidney, Ohio, is homo to spend Easter Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Geary. Miss Ruth Gay and her guest, Miss Lena Carpenter, -of Angola, went out on the 8:30 car to attend the teachers’ institute at Dist. No. 7, Root township. ' John H. Starost and Joseph B. Knapke have filed their licenses with the county clerk, showing them duly authorized agent of the Penn Mutual I Life Insurance Company of Pennsylvania. ' Miss Mollie Schwartz, formerly employed here in print shops, for a number of years, is now making her home in Van Wert, Ohio. She is keeping house for her father, whose wife died recently. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Sutton and sons left this morning for Ossian, byway of Fort Wayne, where Mr. Sutton will look after some professional business, and then continue to Ossian, where I they will spend Easter with Mrs. Sutton’s parents.
Mrs., J. J. Helm spent the day in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Homer Ruhl spent the day in Fort Wayne. Noah Mangold was a business visitor in Fort Wayne today. William Bracht and daughter, Emily, went to Fort Wayne this morning. Dan Costello Is home from Fort 1 ' Wayne to spend Easter with his parents. Mrs. Orval Harruff has gone to Linn ' Grove for a visit over Easter with her | parents. George Crance returned to Fort Wayne after a visit with his stepdaughter, Mrs. Barto. Mr. and Mrs, Fred Ashbaucher will spend Easter Sunday as guests cf I friends in Bluffton. Miss Ethel Tucker of Berne will spend Easter with her cousins, the Misses Grace and Pearl Purdy. Mrs. M. Donart and daughter, Mildred, returned to Fort Wayne after a visit at 'Willshire, with her sister, Mrs. B. H. Avery. Miss Emma Cheney returned to her home at Waterloo after making a two months' visit with her sister, Mrs. Charles Murray. Merle, little daughter of Martin Marhenke, of Moumouth, is quite ill with infective tonsilitis, but is not con-i sidered dangerous. William Mougey, stenographer at the Pennsylvania railroad offices in > Fort Wayne, will go to Piqua, Ohio, to , spend Easter with his aunt. Word from Indianapolis is that Lloyd Magley is still’improving, but is still bedfast. He will probably not ’ be able to come home for two weeks. Mrs. Ida Miller Bewley, who Ijas been spending the winter here, left for her home at Chillicothe, 111. Mrs. \ Bewley is a sister of Mrs. Robert Blackburn. A horse hitched to a rig, and laterl learned to belong to a Mr. Schell, ran' from east of the city bridge, through I Monroe street west, at break-neck I speed at 1:30 o’clock today noon. The I ‘ harness was broken, but the horse’ 1 and rig escaped with very slight in-1 1 jury. Jesse Case, member of the hardware ’ firm at Dixon, Ohio, will be united in ! marriage today to Miss Altie Tank at j the home of the bride’s parents in Ad-, ’ ams county. A report from Dr. H. A. Duemling, I physician in charge of Mr. Davis Dailey, of this county, who was operated on a few days ago, shows a satisfactory condition of the pulse and > temperature of the patient. Mr. Dailey ' had a fairly good night, slept some be-. fore midnight and general condition' is fair. The operation was performed | by Dr. Duemling instead of Dr. Rosen-1 thal and Barnett as was announced. GOOD GAME TONIGHT. A fast and exciting game of basket 1 ball will be played this evening at Por- 1 ter hall, when the second team of Concordia college of Fort Wayne meets the local high school boys. This team has a fine reputation for basket ball playing and is coming down with the expectation of "cleaning up” on the local boys. A preliminary game will be played at 7:30 between the first and second high school teams and the big game will start at 8:15. . POLICE COURT.
