Mar.tey and babe, who have been visiting In the city with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Emerson Bennett, returned to their home at Biyant, this afternoon. Miss Mayme Brake left for Chicago, where she was called on account of the serious illness of her sister, Mrs. Mina Brown. Mrs. Brown will be operated on for appendicitis. Miss Marie Bultemeler of the Graham & Walters office was off duty i yesterday, she and her sister, Miss jEda Bultemeier, of St. Johns, spending the day In Fort Wayne. Mrs. S. P. Frank Van Buskirk returned to his home at Monroeville today noon after a visit at the John Myers home south of the city. | Frank Gallup, principal of the high school at Albany, N. Y., suspended a boy and a girl for flirting. A hundred members of their class went on a strike and a general walk-out was threatened. It is presumed that Gallup will get down off his high horse and go a little slower. Miss Keyser returned to Fort Wayne this morning. She is a trained nurse from Hope hospital and has been here with a classmate, Miss Irene Myers, also a trained nurse, who is attending her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Myers, who is dangerously 111. Mrs. Myers rested well last night which a favorable point. Tuesday afternoon Mrs. S. K. Christy suffered a stroke of paralysis that affected her entire right side, and she Is not expected to live more than a few hours. She has not regained consciousness since the first. Some few years ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis that affected her left side, and she has been practically helpless since. Mrs. Christy has been one of the pioneer ladies of this community, and her loss will be felt in more than one way.—Wiilshire Herald. Mrs. . Christy is the wife of the well-known doctor and Is known to many here. The Harvey & Leonard Real Estate agency closed a deal yesterday for J the sale of thd John Price farm, south jof town, better known as the Bert j Lenhart farm. The new purchaser is I William W. Hawkins, of Clinton coun--1 ty, Indiana, and the deal included a farm owned by him in that county of ninety-nine acres. The total consideration in the deal, including the value of the two farms was 128,640. Mr. Hawkins will not move here for a year at least, the farm having been leased to George Strickler, Jr. The tatter is moving on the farm to-day. The marriage of Gerald D. Beaty, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Beaty, of Ossian, and Miss Lola Glen Middaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper C. Middaugh, of Union township, will be solemnized to-day, probably at Uniondale. The young people are well known to scores of people in the county and are held In the highest esteem by all. Mr. Beaty is bookkeeper for the Ossian Lumber company and the couple will reside in that city. The groom is a former student of the Bluffton business college and made his home in Bluffton for some time with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Merriman.—Bluffton Banner. PETER CONTER TO MOVE.
