Stfewart Niblick left this morning for Valparaiso to resume his studies at that place in the medicine department, after spending a few days with his parents and friends. Mrs. Douvltch and babe and Mrs. Annie Bauble and babe left this morning for Fort Wayne, to which place the families are moving. They have been working here in the beet fields. William Blythe, night clerk for the Schlickman case, and Miss Kittie Fought, night chief operator at the Decatur exchange, spent Sunday with friends in Fort Wayne and had a very pleasant day. A Fort Wayne |>aper contained a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Middleton, who celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday. Mr. Middleton is an uncle of Mrs. D. V. Steele of this city. At the meeting of the band held last night a musician of ability, who has for several yeprs past been with various circuses, was present and arrangements may be made whereby he will stay in this city this winter to train the members of the band. Tho Sunday school class of the M. E. church .taught by Mr. E. M Wagner, enjoyed a visit through the beet plant, under his escort. The trip was a very interesting one. Mr. Wagner thoroughly explaining all the points of interest and the detalhof the great plant. Mr. Frank Welsch came home last evening from Fort Wayne, where he visited his wife, who Is a pattent at the St. Joseph hospital, where she waa operated upon ten days ago for appendicitis It is bMleved she will be able to come home about Christmas time.
