Homer Knodle made a business trip to Fort Wayne last evening. Mr. and Mrs. E E. Brown will spend Thanksgiving with relatives at Wren, Ohio. J. H. Jones ano son. Dee. left this morning for LaGrange, where they will visit friends over Thanksgiving Miss Odessie Johnson of Forest, Indiana. will spend Thanksgiving with her uncle, Oliver Johnson, and family, south of town. Rev. J. M. Dawson, of Andrews, formerly pastor of the Decatur Christian church, arrived yesterday for a short visit here. He reports his family as well. His church at Andrews is thriving and prosperous and he is having very good success in every way.

Miss Mamie Teeple wan a Fort Wayne visitor today. Mrs. Jeff Bryson of Portland returnled to her home yesterday afternoon after spending the day with friends in the city. Glen Holsapple of Indianapolis will arrive tonight to spend Thanksgiving and Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Holsapple. Mrs Orval Hartuff went to Linn Grove this morning, where she will spend Thanksgiving. Mr. Harruffwill join her this afternoon. , Mr. and Mrs. Robert Case and son. ' Harold, left this morning for Indianapolis, where they will spend Thanksgiving with their two sons, George and ; Ralph. Paul Castle, Who makes his home with Mr. and Mrs. John Chronister, went to Fort Wayne last evening to visit until Thanksgiving with his grandparents and ether relatives. 1 Dan Erwin is preparing to store his household goods 13 the Erwin office rooms for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin will not keep house here, this winter, on account of Mrs. Erwin’s poor health. She will first go to Nonh Manchester to visit with a cousin, and further arrangements for the winter will be made later.
Mrs. George Flanders spent the day in Fort Wayne. Miss Rose Hess left this morning for Chicago, where she will visit a week or two. Miss Vida Stoneburner went to Ft. W ayne today, where she will spend Thanksgiving with friends. Thomas Gallogly left lust night for Chicago to attend the funeral of bfs sister, Mrs. Anna Fitzpatrick. A luncheon concluded the evening’s entertainment. The wohn Niblick family will hold its Thanksgiving reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Edwards at ptic. Those who will be there are Mr. and Mrs. John Niblick. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Niblick, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Suttles and children; and Miss Helen Niblick', a student at the Ohio Wesleyan college at Delaware, Ohio. Miss Marie Gass joined the Poinsettia club girls last evening when Miss Ode Fullenkacp entertained. The players found enjoyment in nedro and the score cards showed the winners to be Alice Knapp and Lydia Miller Music and refreshments were also enjoyed. This will be the last meeting until January, after the close of advent. The chain y dance and box social given by the C. B. L. of I. Tuesday evening was a decided success. The attendance was large and the boxes brought a large sum, which will be | contributed to charity. Miss Anna Meyers was given the prize for the highest selling box. Fred Schaub served as auctioneer.
