Wow.!!! Something near Eve hundred voters tn Adams county failed to cast tbeir ballots on Tuesday The same is true in other counties, due no doubt to some extent to the registration laws.' to the fact that the result was know n , betore the day came, and that it was 1 therefore impossible to create as much interest as usual. It's perhaps just as well though, for the victory is SU'Dciently complete to please and satisfy the most exacting democrat '■ 11 The vote given bew Ellingham in, this county is the source of greatest pleasure to ns. He was given a Plu-< rality of more than two tnousand votes ; and in every precinct in the county , his vote was such as to prove the loyalty of his friends He will continue to serve as secretary ot state, having been elected by a plurality in the | state of about IMjW# We know he i apt rec Sates the approval of his two I years service, and especially that !n old Adams county. — Kicbard K Krw in was elected as judge of the supreme court ard the fact that he ran ahead of the ticket tn Allen and Adams counties is no doubt the one thing that makes the honor greater. We congratulate him on the high honor knowing that he will serve his state in such manner that will bring credit to himself and to this c-ounty. his old home He it < lean and honest and capable and will make a record worth while on the bench m the highest court in the state !- . — Well, it’s all over, and th« w«- told yon so's" are idenriful. in this country right now believe In progressive policies and will assist in securing them. The outlook is very bright indeed and we predict that the next four years will be the most prosperous ever known in this or any other nation If the democrats do what they have promised, they will continue to have the confidence of the people and to remain in control. If they don't they will be removed with as little sympathy as was Mr. Taft and tbe others who promised a revision of the tariff downward and did just the opposite. DOINGS IN SOCIETY Rev. and Mrs. G.
