Hensley, the jeweler, also shows some old pictures of the “dudes" and "swells" cf the early days. Ladies Should Wear Badges While the comtnitees are having ; good success with the red bandgea, the white ones, designed for the ladies. are going rather slowly, and there are still a large number on hand. They will be sold at various stores and on the streets and it is hoped the ladles of Decatur and surrounding country will buy them. You ought to stand a quarter to show your loyalty to the cause. Feed Yard is Ready. The feed yard, for the free use of those who wish to hitch their teams or horse has been provided and is ready. Water tanks have been added and Abe Stoneburner and James Smith are in charge. Drive down First street to Jackson and then east, and you can't miss it. Enerance to Sugar Factory, Tomorrow will oe opening day for the sugar factory and the crowd will be admitted at the west door, which will be open at 10 o'clock. The machinery will be dead at that time. Manager F. H. Hubbard will open the program with a short explanation of how and why they located in Decatur. There will l>e several responses by local people and others. The fat - fory will then be formally opened and the machinery set in motion Directc s Coming. President ('. *f. .McLean, of Holland. Both will give special concerts this ‘ afternoon and evening. The city ' band will give one at the Mercer, Winchester and Adams streets point, and the Blue Creek band of fourteen pieces in front of the city fire department. Both concerts of both bandar will be in the afternoon and evening. Free Attractions Today. Several of the free street attractions which could not be gotten ready for Monday, will be given today. Heir Granada and Fodora have arranged their high wire from the Masonic building to the Burns building and were ready for the i>erformances today. Another will be given tonight.
