Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lachnit, who have been visiting here for a week past with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R, Smith, east of the city, left today for their homes. Mrs. Dan Haley went te> Fort Wayne this morning to be with her daughter, Mrs Henry Guebard, who is very low with consumption. Mis. Guebard shows no improvement. Joe Harris, who suffered a fracture of the leg several weeks ago while working on a house at Rockford, 0., is able to walk about with the aid ol crutches and is rapidly improving. Charles Teeple of the Teeple, Brandyberry & Peterson clothing store, is moving today from Second street into ihe Fo.dyce home on Fourth street, formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lower. Miss Ada' Stev’ns left this morning for Lansing and Bath, Mich., where she will visit three weeks, or until school reopens this fall. She was accompanied to Fort Wayne by he" sister, Miss Ola Gaskill. Cliffton Haughton, who recently returned from California, where the family made its home for some time, ba staken a position at the Schlickman & Bailey restaurant. Mr. Haughton was formerly engaged in this business before leaving for the southwest. Miss Bessie Boyers, who has been taking a summer course at the University of Illinois, at Champaign, 111., returned Tuesday for a visit with her parents. Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Boyers, until September 14th, when she will return to the university to complete her course. Irvin Brandyberry is with his family at Angola this week, completing his vacation visit at the lakes near that city. Mr. Brandyberry spent a week with them earlier in the season and returned here to attend to business relating "> the clothing store in whicn he has an interest. Dr. and Mrs. C. T.
