The thermometer registered fifty degrees above zero at an early hour this morning just eighteen degrees above the freezing point. Quite “chisley” weatner for the middle of July. The D. M. Hensley family has received announcement of the birth of a daughter, Katb’yn Elizabeth, July Tsth, to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph N. Barr of Kendallville, who are well known here to man.' . Mr. Barr is the son of the well known late Lawyer Barr, who has practiced tn the Adams circuit court. Mr. Barr, it is said, was interested with John T. France in the last, case in the Adams circuit court in which the latter served as lawyer, before his death. A Colorado professor took finger prints from the fingers of his daughter when she was horn, sixteen years ago. and has taken them every year since. A comparison of these prints I by experts shows that there has been I /absolutely no variation or change in | the markings of the fingers since I birth. And yet. all the investigations || have failed to show any two persons I'in the world whose finger markings I 1 were precisely alike. |' The river took another rise of from | a foot to eighteen inches, there being I a heavv rain repotted just south of I here. He had gone to the field so drive home the cows, when one of the animals threw him. breaking a hip, several ribs, ,d---i most tearing one ear off and inflicting internal injuries.
