Entered at the postoffice in Decatur, < Indiana, as sceond class mail. ; That was a refreshing breath of air ] that came Monday evening and every ; body, young and old, sick and healthy, fat and lean, optimist and pessimist,! ’ thoroughly enjoyed it. Also it is like- ‘ ly that the cooler weather will cause a j cessation in the heavy rains which < have been doing much damage in 1 tnis vicinity. 1 _________ I < Again permit us to remind you that a public meeting of those interested , in the home-coming will be held at j the library Wednesday evening. It is ’ desired that as man who can, be j 1 present, that, suggestions may be | made and the matter thoroughly discussed. This is a matter that all of us should take part in. It's up to you , to show your willingness to do yours. The democratic national committee ' , is the guest of Governor Marshall and other Indiana democrats at Indianapolis today. The members stopped there to confer with the vice presidential nominee, after the Chicago meeting. With them is William F. McCombs, newly chosen national chairman, who will have charge of the campaign. The committee arrived ( this morning and were met at the station by a committee which escort . ed them to the Denison for breakfast. Accompanied by prominent In-1 dianians. they met the governor at ■ 10 o’clock for a short conference. A public reception and an automobile trip over the city were a pan of the program. It's a progressive age. Even Presi- , I dent Taft, alter reading over care- ■ fully the high protective platform, adopted at the Chicago convention. 1 is considering repudiating that document and announcing in a speech his views on the tariff question. It should be remembered in connection with this statement that Mr. Taft made some speeches four years ago in which he announced that in his opinion the republican platform meant the revision of the tariff downward, but ■ the Smoot-Payne-Aldrich-Wali Street forces, back of him, thought different when it came time to write the new j law and revised the schedules up- ; ward. It is not likely that the “dear I peepul" will have much confidence ' in any promise from such a source.

HAY FEVER ILLS I QUICKLY RELIEVED. | With a Cleansing, Healing Antiseptic Cream, Stops Sneezing Instantly. Many people suppose there Is no cure for hay fever, and think, once one has had an attack, they must suffer every summer from having time until frost comes. Some of the more fortunate seek relief in cooler climate, but thousands suffer at home, and often make their condition worse by using strong snuffs, powders and sprays. There is no need of your being a victim of this disease any longer, and you don’t have to run away to escape it either. Just get a fiftycent bottle of Ely’s Cream Balm, place a little in the nostrils, draw the. pleasant, aromatic fumes back into the head, and see how quickly you will get relief. It opens up the air passages almost instantly, stops the sneezing, running at the nose and weeping. Furthermore, it doesn’t simply give you temporary relief, but it heals and strengthens the sensitive membrane lining of the nose and throat, and restores it to normal, healthy condition, thus protecting you against a return of the trouble All druggists sell and recommend it. Get a bottle today. If you are not satisfied after a fair trial, your druggist will give you back every cent you paid for it. t-t-s o — THE COUR! NEWS. Attorney D. B.
