RETURN FROM CONVENTION. Rev. J. H. Rilling of the Evangelical church, and Miss Vernia Smith, a delegate from the local society of the Young People’s Alliance, returned this morning from Portland, where they attended the district convention. Rev. Rilling gave an excellent address. speaking on “The Boy Problem.” Mrs, Eugene Runyon was also on the program, but was unable to attend. The matter of the election of officers will be taken up by the executive committee and report made to the general convention to be held at Oakwood park, the first week in August. i FREE STREET CONCERT. The first of a series of a twelve week free street band concert will be rendered this evening on the corner of Main and Madison streets and the boys hope to see a large number of patrons and lovers of good music present for the hours of entertainment. The concert will open at 8 o'clock sharp and will play for an hour. The business men were solicited and responded liberally, and the concerts will make the evenings more pleasant and will be a drawing card for the business men in general. AUTO COLLISION. While turning the corner at Monroe and Second streets Tuesday evening with a heavily loaded automobile, Dr. Beavers had the misfortune of having his car skid and throw him into another machine which stood there. Aside from the injury to the hubs and bent fenders no damage was done. WOODMEN TONIGHT. All Modern Woodmen are wanted at their hail this evening, when important business will come up before the lodge.
