Krone of Celina, Ohio, was a Sunday caller here with friends. Charles Rurdg made a busines strip to Fort Wayne yesterday afternoon. William Sellemeyer of Magley was numbered among the business callers here yesterday. Mrs. Florence DeVilbiss of Detroit, Mich., went to Monmouth to spend a few days with relatives. The Misses Dorothy Ervin and Sue i Acre of Fort Wayne spent Sunday here with the formers parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ervin. Mrs. Ella Hall returned last evening to Ossian after spending a few days here. She eame to attend the funeral of her mother, Mrs. S. E. Edington.

Smith 'Richmond was in the city this morning on his way home from Fort Wayne, where he transacted business yesterday. Mrs. William Wilson and children, residing on the A. J. Smith farm, were shoppers here this morning, returning home on the 10 o’clock car. William Rundell le'i at noon for Chicago to be absent for the remainder of the week looking after business in the interest of the Ward Fence company. Miss Kynt Voglewede, who has been working as stenographer for the Indianapolis Enterprise & Fence company, will arrive home for a few days' visit with her parents. Freda and Clara Ehlerding, 11. Wefel and Walter Wefel and Nora and Della Werling returned to Fort Wayne yesterday after attending the Bieberich wedding at Preble Sunday. The Christian church ladies still have a number of fine blooming geraniums left which they will sell for ten cents apiece. Get them at the Morirs five and ten cent store or at the old city hall building. The D. B. Grwin law office and the D. N. Erwin real estate office are now located in the rooms over what was formerly the Everett & Hite bazaar. The last matters relating to the moving were attended to today. Miss Vera Purdy, daughter of Sam Purdy of Bluffton, and a granddaughter of L. H. Purdy, of this city, was successful in winning the second prize, the piano offered by the Bluffton Banner which closed iast Saturday night. Mrs. Rose Gault of Ft. Wayne, who j has been at the point of death for the j past week, has rallied and it is , thought will be able to be up and about 1 the house in a short while. If the weather is not fine, the festival will be postponed until Thursday The seniors are advertising their class day exercises in a unique way. Large posters, ornamented with handpainted design, have been placed about the city, calling attention to (he class I play which will be given Thursday evening at 8:15, May 23rd, at the, Bosse opera house. The play is “The Fifteenth of Jar .ary.” Mrs. William Beik and granddaughter, Miss Ethel Smith, are packing their household goods preparatory to returning to LaFontaine, where they will make their future home. They resided at that place before coming here, where the late Mr Beik was proprietor of the handle factory. J. L. Gay returned this afternoon from a week’s eastern trip. lie accompanied B. B. Teeple to Almira, N. Y„ and on his return stoppel off at Bucyrus, Ohio, and other cities of that state to visit with relatives. He had a most pleasant time and brought back a number of the views of the fine scenery in the New York state, which his friends here appreciate.
