Sprunger and Fern L. Phipps. Miss Adeline Kelley of Bryant, who has been visiting with friends at Lima, Ohio, transferred here this afternoon on her way home. Mrs. L. B. Boulton returned yesterday afternoon to Fort Wayne after a visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Elijah Mann. She was accompanied home by Miss Dessie Mann, who will visit there.

Peterson went to Winchester to attend the convention today. »Mrs. Laure Van Camp and daughter, Edwina, went to Vera Cruz today noon to visit Grandma Van Camp. Joe Palmer of smith of the city was in town yesterday looking after business which required his attention for a short while. Curley Wilson is a new baker at the Girod and Bieneke restaurant. Mr. Wilson is an experienced man at the trade and will well repay the firm for securing his services. The Christian Ladies’ Aid society is arranging for a sale of Easter flowers at the Meyer. Scherer & Beavers store. The sale will be announced inter, but it will probably be held next week. Carpenters yesterday and today replaced a large new plate glass show window in the north side of the front ot the Girod & Bieneke restaurant, which was cracked a short time ago as a result of Ihe fire which started in the cellar. Morris company is arranging to remodel their store to make ir conform to their stores at other points. An addition will be built which will make it extend from the street on the front to the alley on the rear, giving them room the full half block in length. Frank Stevens, twenty, has filed suit in the Floyd circuit court for divorce from Jennie Stevens, thirty-six, alleging cruel treatment, after three months of wedded life. He alleges his wife will not permit him to attend lodge meetings or visit his family and has whipped him because he did not obey her. He says she takes his wages away from his on Saturday night.
