I John Cavanaugh, a hobo, who has been around the town for some time, tanked up a little too much booze Thursday evening and it devolved upon the police to cart him off to jail. However, on the way to jail, he developed a serious case of delirium tremens and he was placed in John Andrews barn for a while. Later he was taken to jail, where be sobered up, and this morning drew a dollar and costs. Cavanaugh has one leg off at the hip, one eye is gone, and he is physically unable to make his own way. His case exhibits clearly the pitiable condition where booze will place a man. TO CLOSE CHRISTMAS. Shoe Stores Also to Close at 6:00 p. m. from January 1 to April 1.
