Burt Hnnsicker was a Fort Wayne business visitor today. Mrs. Fred Fruchte and Miss Lucy Fruchte went to Fort Wayne for the day. Mesdames David Valenti and Peter Winans were numbered among the Ft. Wayne callers today. Miss Flo Straubinger of Willshire, Ohio, changed cars here this morning enroute to Fort Wayne. Mrs. A. J. Smith and daughter, Midge, and Miss Mary Fonner were Fort Wayne visitors today. Mrs. Marvin Mygrant, Mrs. Asa Engle, Mrs. Fred Engie and son, Richard Wayne, spent the day in Fort Wayne. Ed Ahr left this morning for Auburn on business. He was accompanied to Fort Wayne by Mrs. Ahr and son, Lloyd. . Frank King returned this morning to Pittsburg, after spending the night here as the guest of his sister, Mis. Fred Patterson.

Howard Wlsehaupt was at Portland this morning looking after business matters for a short while. Peter Kirsch returned this afternoon from ’Portland, where he was attending to business affairs during the day. Miss Marcella, who have been visiting with friends in Chicago, returned home last evening.
J. E. Coarding of Sturgis, Mich., a former resident of this county, is here renewing his acquaintances and making a short visit with relatives. Miss Sadia Elzey left this morning for Ashley, Ind., where she will visit! for about a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Klink.—Bluffton News. The C. B. L. of I. will hold their annual election of officers this evening, as well as look after other busmess, and a good time is anticipated by the members. George Kocher and family returned to their home in Willshire, Ohio, today after visiting here for several days at the home of George Kocher, sr.— Bluffton News. He will probably be unable to be out for about a week. Mrs. Christ Weldy, who had the misfortune to fall and break her arm on .Saturday last, is still experiencing j’great inconvenience with the injured member, and some weeks will he neeI essary until the same heals. Today being election day brought ; many from throughout the county to the city to ascertain the probabilities of the result, the correctness of which will have to be decided with the counting of the ballots this evening. Mr. and Mrs. O. 'M. Stewart and habe of six miles east of the city., left yesterday afternoon for Fort Wayne, where they visited with relatives over night, and this morning left for Otsego, Mich., for a two weeks’ visit with their father and mother. The advancement on the new city hall the past few days has been marked greatly from the rapidity which the building is being constructed. The contractors are rushing the work as fast as possible, so as to allow the city better protection in ev-

They reported the doctor resting a little easier when they left. John Wemhoff, who has been serving as bookkeeper for the Indiana I ightlng company for a year and a blg . evening and from half, resigned last evening now on will take a week’s rest before commencing work at the Perrine Armstrong Lumber plant in Fort Wayne. Vince Forbing spent Sunday in Bluffton. Mrs. Tom Haefling is expected to arrive from Indianapolis to make a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Voglewede. Cecil Cole has taken a position at the Holthouse drug store, working on Saturdays and. after school hours through the week. Miss Agnes Geary of Cleveland, 0., who is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Geary, went to Fort Wayne this afternoon on business. Postmaster Lower reports letters remainingt in the Decatur postoffice for Rhea Vanola, Jean Bonnar, Ethel Wilson. G. H. Uhl, Glen Thomas, Mrs. May Thrasher, Julius Samuelson. Ralph Lawson, Marguerite Ensch, Etta Gosseeti. The various show windows are taking on their Christmas decorations and in a few days will present many beautiful sights. The pine trees will also arrive in, a few days and everything will be here to make the coming Christmas one of the many happy ones as usual. The W. R. C. has engaged the Star theater for Friday evening, when the proceeds of the show for that evening will be used by the W. R. C. for charity. There will be special music j by a chorus and readings by others, i Everybody come and help swell the charity fund.
The I. O. O. F. lodge held a very interesting meeting at their lodge rooms last evening, at which time a number of business matters up for disposal wre attended to. A large attendance was present for the meeting and a good time was realized from the evening spent together. Willie Wildflowers, a happy-go-lucky tramp, assisted by a well selected company, will appear at the opera house Wednesday, December 13th, in a three-act comedy, ‘ The Girl and the Tramp,’' on that night. Laughter will reign supreme. Don’t fail to see it. Prices, 25c, 35c and 50c. MicFrayzee of Lafayette, one of the officials of the Indiana Lighting company, was in the city yesterday, looking after business pertaining to the local plant. While here he met one of his old-time friends, Mr. E. E. Rice, and companion school teachers in Franklin county some years ago. W. A. Kuebler has gone to Shelby, Ohio, to pay a visit with his aged mother, who is in failing health, and whose condition is regarded as serious. She has reached an advanced age and owing to’this great care is necessary, and for this reason Mr. Kuebler wished ro visit Lei' for tt short while, at least.
