Andrews was the victim of a painful injury that will disable him for some time. He was returning to his home in Monroe from this city., : driving in a buggy and leading a horse. Meeting an automobile, the horse he 1 was* driving frightened, and turned, and in trying to give his attention to both the driving horse and the one he was leading, he had more than he , could manage. His left foot was hanging out of the buggy at the side, ami this was crushed between the rig and the wheel, as the buggy turned, break Ing the bones of the ankle. AT THE CRYSTAL. ' B. P. Howard, the well known sing er and stage actor, who for several years traveled with the Fields' Minstrel show, has, by a special effort, been secured by Manager Will Par ent, to give a three days' performance at his playhouse, to commence this evening. '9—(Special to Daily Democrat)—Discovery Day, i October 12, is a legal holiday. There is. however, some question as to the constitutionality of the act because the act which created it repealed the act of 1905, which was' repealed by the acts of 1907.
